The Arizona State Senate is currently recruiting to
fill a receptionist position to support the Research Staff. The Senate
Research Staff is an in-house, nonpartisan research department that
provides professional research and policy analysis for members of the
Senate on a full-time, year-round basis.
The salary is $12.00/hour. The State of Arizona offers

Receptionist Duties:
• Answer multiple phone lines and direct calls.
• Greet members of the public visiting Research Staff and assist
visitors as necessary.
• Perform general office management duties, including significant
filing, mail and document distribution, maintaining office supplies
and basic office equipment, faxing and scheduling of the Basement Conference
Room.
• Responsible for the maintenance of critical office information,
including distributing agendas, meeting notices, bills and amendments
to analysts and posting on information board.
• Track legislation and assist in responding to inquiries.
• Set up meetings for analysts, which includes calling members,
determining availability, typing and distributing agendas.
• Light typing as needed (letters, memos, fact sheets, labels).
Qualifications:
• Excellent phone skills.
• Ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and to work
long hours.
• Familiar with Microsoft Word.
